MultiPlus II
MultiPlus II
MultiPlus-II inverter/charger
230V
A MultiPlus, plus ESS (Energy Storage System) function
The MultiPlus-II is a multifunctional inverter/charger with all the features of the MultiPlus and an additional feature, namely an external current sensor. This extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to 50 A and 100 A respectively.
The MultiPlus-II is ideal for professional shipping, yachts, vehicles and land-based, off-grid applications.
The device also has a built-in anti-islanding function and is gaining approval for ESS application in more and more countries. Several different system configurations are possible. For more information, see the ESS Design & Configuration manual.
PowerControl and PowerAssist – increasing grid or generator performance
A maximum mains or generator current can be set. The MultiPlus-II then takes other connected AC consumers into account and only uses the current that is "left over" to charge the battery. This prevents the generator or mains connection from being overloaded (PowerControl function).
The PowerAssist function gives the PowerControl principle a new dimension. Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus-II immediately compensates for insufficient generator, shore power or grid power with energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, ie consumers are switched off, the then sufficient power can be used again.
Energy can be used to charge the batteries.
Solar power: alternating current even in the event of a power failure
The MultiPlus-II can be used in both off-grid and grid-connected PV systems as well as other alternative energy systems. It can be used with both solar charge controllers and grid-connected inverters.
Two AC outputs
The main output ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a power failure or an interruption of the shore/generator power, the MultiPlus-II takes over the supply of the connected consumers. The switchover takes place so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.
The second output only supplies power when AC power is available at the MultiPlus-II input. Loads that must not drain the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output.
Virtually unlimited power through parallel (not for 8k, 10k and 15k models) and three-phase operation
Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel if high power requirements are required. For example, with six 48/5000/70 units this results in 25 kW/30 kVA output power with 420 A charging capacity.
Apart from parallel connection, three units of the same model can also be configured for a three-phase output. But that's not all: by parallel connecting up to 6 sets of three units each, you can get 75 kW/90 kVA inverter power or 1200 A charging current.
System configuration, monitoring and control on site
The settings can be changed within a few minutes using the VEConfigure software (a computer or laptop and an MK3 USB interface are required).
Several monitoring and control options are available: Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX, CANvu GX, laptop, computer, Bluetooth (with the optional VE.Bus Smart Dongle), battery monitor, Digital Multi control panel.
Remote configuration and monitoring
Install a Color Control GX or other GX products to connect to the Internet.
The operating data can be stored and viewed free of charge on our VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
If systems are connected to the Internet, they can be accessed remotely and settings can be changed.
