Durable, safe and quiet

Reconditioning
A lead-acid battery that has not been sufficiently charged or has been left in a discharged state for days or weeks will deteriorate in performance due to sulfation. If the process is stopped in time, the sulfation can be partially reversed by charging the battery with a low current until a higher voltage is reached.
Function for recovering completely discharged batteries
Most chargers with reverse polarity protection will not detect a battery that has been discharged to zero or almost zero volts and will therefore not recharge it. The Blue Smart IP65 chargerHowever, it will attempt to recharge a fully discharged battery at low current and will resume normal charging after sufficient voltage has been built up across the battery terminals.
Storage mode: less corrosion on the positive plates
Even the lower voltage of the float charge phase that follows the constant voltage phase will cause grid corrosion. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to reduce the charging voltage even further, even if the battery remains connected to the charger for more than 48 hours.
Charging process with temperature compensation
The optimal charging voltage of a lead-acid battery varies inversely with temperature. The Blue Smart IP65 chargermeasures the ambient temperature during the test phase and compensates for the temperature during the charging process. The temperature is measured again when the charger is in low current mode, in the float voltage phase or in storage mode. Therefore, no special settings for a cold or hot environment are required.
Li-ion battery mode
The Blue Smart IP65 chargeruses a specific charging algorithm for lithium-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries, with an automatic function to reset the lithium-ion undervoltage protection.
