In the case of partial shading, there may be two or more maximum power points (MPP) on the current-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to lock on to a local MPP, but this may not be the optimal MPP. The innovative algorithm of the BlueSolar device will always maximize the energy yield by adjusting to the optimal MPP.

Will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts. Reconnects to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with internal disconnect function.
