Victron Energy MultiPlus Compact Inverter/Charger
Victron Energy MultiPlus Compact Inverter/Charger
MultiPlus Inverter/Charger 800VA - 5kVA
Two AC outputs
The main output ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a mains failure or interruption of shore/generator power, the MultiPlus takes over the supply of the connected loads. The switchover is so fast (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed. The second output only supplies power when AC power is available at one of the MultiPlus's inputs. Loads that must not drain the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output (a second output is available on models rated at 3 kVA and above).
Virtually unlimited power through parallel connection
Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel if high power requirements are required. For example, with six 24/5000/120 units this results in 25kW/30kVA output power with 720 A charging capacity.
Three phase operation
Apart from parallel connection, three units of the same model can also be configured for a three-phase output. But that's not all: up to six sets of three units can be connected in parallel to achieve a huge 75 kW / 90 kVA inverter and over 2,000 A charging capacity.
PowerControl – Working with limited generator power, limited shore or mains power
The MultiPlus is a very powerful battery charger. It therefore draws a lot of power from the generator or shore power supply (almost 10A per 5kVA Multi at 230 VAC). The Multi Control remote control panel can be used to set the maximum mains or generator current to be drawn. The MultiPlus then takes other connected AC consumers into account and only uses the power that is "left over" for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.
PowerAssist – “performance enhancement” of generators and shore connection support
This function gives the PowerControl principle a new dimension. It enables the MultiPlus to support alternative sources that are too weak. Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore power or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, ie consumers are switched off, the energy that is then available again can be used to charge the batteries.
Solar power: alternating current even in the event of a power failure
The Quattro can be used in both off-grid and grid-connected PV systems as well as other alternative energy systems. Software is available to detect a grid failure.
System configuration
- If settings need to be changed on a single device, this can be done within a few minutes using a DIP switch setting procedure.
- Parallel and three-phase systems can be configured using the VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software.
- Off-grid, grid-tied and self-consumption systems using grid-tie inverters and/or MPPT solar chargers can be configured using wizards (software associated with the respective systems).
On-site monitoring and control
Several options are available: Battery Monitor, Multi Control Panel, Ve.Net Blue Power Panel, Color Control Panel, Smartphone or Tablet (Bluetooth Smart), Laptop or Computer (USB or RS232).
Remote monitoring and control
Victron Ethernet Remote, Victron Global Remote and the Color Control Panel. The data can be saved and viewed free of charge on our VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
Remote configuration:
If systems with a Color Control Panel are connected to the Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.
